Had D&G come out who within 2 minutes told me there was an issue with our socket, they wouldn't touch and we'd have to get it fixed privately. I was let down by a couple of electricians I had used in the last so decided to have a look through Google. Too many these days are not interested in small jobs and or don't even bother replying to messages. Today I called Jedi Services and within 60 seconds I had found out that the issue I thought I had was likely a complete load of bs. After a couple of suggestions over the phone (I think it was David I was speaking to, could be wrong?) we ascertained it was simple trip in the fuse box. A quick 3 minute call with someone with the patience to go through some quick troubleshooting options has saved me nigh on Β£100. Thank you for your help and you'll be my first port of call should I need some actual electrical work done.
The team at Jedi were able to undertake a big job for me at short notice. Clearly communicated the costs up front, and they did the work quickly and professionally - no complaints whatsoever. Will use Jedi Services again in future and wouldnβt hesitate to recommend them to anyone else either!
Had a leak and a resulting electrical issue on a Saturday. Phoned Jedi and spoke to David who answered quickly. He asked me to send a photo of the fusebox and then phoned me back and talked me through how to fix the issue until they could attend once the electrics had dried out. David did not charge for this and was able to arrange for an engineer to visit us the next day. Friendly and reassuring service which was a huge help. Would highly recommend.
Had a fuse blown somewhere in the house. Phoned Jedi (I think his name was David) and he talked me through the process of checking each fuse and appliance - I am fairly rubbish at this stuff. Thanks to his patience and clarity he saves me a call out charge. Very impressed with the service
Our fuse box kept tripping. I managed to reset it a few times but it didn't work and cost me financially as I had a Zoom lesson. Called Jedi Services and was talked through how to reset the RCD. This was out of hours and FOC. Next time I have any electrical issues, I know who to call and it's not the Ghostbusters but the Jedi's! Friendly, helpful and fantastic customer service!
Ripped off with a Β£84(Β£75+vat) callout charge. With hindsight, this was in all likelihood a job for a plumber, not an electrician (issue was a non-heating immersion heater) and I suspect Jedi Services probably knew this. No mention of a callout charge prior to engagemen Response to owner's response: A lot of falsehoods: I did not say it was an "electrical emergency" or any emergency, for that matter; I did not say the switch was "malfunctioning". I merely telephoned to say my immersion heater was not working(heating the water). You did not seem busy at all and offered to come round. You brought a colleague which you did not tell me about - maybe to make the callout fee appear more justifiable to the customer? You spent about 15 mins in my hallway talking about my fusebox (I should have noticed something fishy then) - again, maybe to increase the time on the premises, so you can justify the charge? You seemed quite friendly, but when I called back to ask for a partial refund you became really aggressive and cut me off. I would advise prospective customers to tread carefully. I see you have another 1-star review with not wholly dissimilar circumstances - you seem to have a tendency to carry out unnecessary work just for the sake of it (i.e. to get a fee) P.S. It happened on the 5th January, so not the holiday season.
Having had no help from our energy supplier, I called Jedi Services this afternoon as we had water coming into an upstairs room via the central ceiling light. He guided me through isolating the light circuit to restore the rest of our electrics. Now need to get our roofer back to find where the rain is getting in but David was most helpful and admitted that what he told me to do was what he would have done had he come out and would have charged me Β£180. Good to know there are honest, helpful tradesmen out there.
