1 Electrics

Carlos Reid is a NAPIT fully approved electrician and is Part P registered on the competent person register. He is also F gas (refrigerants) registered for air conditioning and heat pumps. The electrical service covers Reading and the surrounding areas. The company undertakes all electrical works, large or small, including power, lighting, heating and cooling.

Services include installation work, periodic inspection reports, air conditioning, heat pumps, tests and inspections, fault finding, rewires, extra sockets, boiler wiring, fuse board/consumer unit changes, and various forms of lighting including garden lighting.

1 Electrics, whose electricians work across Reading and the surrounding area, has built a following among homeowners who return to the firm for job after job. The name that surfaces most often is Carlos, praised for his friendly manner, his knowledge of the trade and the ease of working with him. Reliability is a recurring theme: reviewers repeatedly mention that he turns up when promised, keeps customers informed before and after the work and never makes a fuss about extra requests.

The tasks covered range widely, from complete rewiring during renovations of two houses, new sockets and switches, second-fix electrics, certification and EICR checks, to smaller jobs such as an electric towel rail, replacement outdoor lights, power and lighting for a garden summer house, a car charger and neat cable trunking with underfloor work for a 32A cooker supply.

Customers describe the finish as tidy and the pricing as fair for the quality delivered. Speed stands out too, with one job completed early in the morning before the electrician went on holiday and a fault diagnosed remotely that restored power downstairs. Repeat visits cover kitchen ceiling lights, dimmer switches and household repairs, and the same careful approach applies whether the task is modest or a full renovation.
